Let’s be honest. As women, we don’t always put ourselves first. As mothers, most of our time and energy revolves around our children. We don’t just work 9 – 5, and we don’t get vacations. It is very easy to neglect ourselves, and before you know it, we have burned out, or as my kids would say, FREAKED out!
How often do we hear that physical activity can help reduce depression and anxiety? Daily exercise can help us sleep better, think more clearly, and efficiently handle stress.
We can boost our mental health by eating the right nutrients and limiting foods and drinks that can be harmful.
We KNOW all of this, so why don’t we do it? Because sometimes, at the end of the day, we realize that our own needs did not ever cross our minds. Sad but true.
When you stop caring for yourself, you are not as capable to care for others.
Try to make small and easy changes to your daily routine that can help you function at a higher level. Take some time to focus on YOU and YOUR own needs. Your family will thank you for it!
